The Iranian Journal of Governance and Public Policy, published by the Department of Political Science at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman(SBUK), aims to present the latest research findings and scholarly achievements of professors, students, and researchers in the theoretical and practical dimensions of governance and public policy.
The journal’s areas of interest and major thematic axes include subjects such as:
theories and issues of governance; theories and issues of the state and government; political and policy-related theories and challenges in public domains including development policy, economic policy, energy policy, foreign and security policy, science and technology policy, social and cultural policy, anti-corruption and crime prevention policy, urban policy, environmental policy, health policy, comparative policy studies, and other related issues.
This journal adopts an interdisciplinary approach in all the aforementioned areas, with its central focus placed on issues of governance and policymaking. For instance, in fields such as energy and technology, the journal does not focus on the technical or engineering dimensions but rather emphasizes the governance and policy aspects of these domains.
Within these broad areas, the journal gives priority to studies addressing governance and public policy issues specific to Iran. Articles that contribute to the theoretical, methodological, or conceptual elaboration of governance and public policy are also warmly welcomed.
